Come on then - let's have your best finish!
I know we have some winners on the forum.....

Mine is 3rd - 2 years running in the late 90's
We had 2 guys off 5 who won it between them 7 years on the bounce.
I was off 8 and missed a playoff by a shot or 2 both times...

I made a 4th place at previous club when off 8 was no where near county champ off +2 who won by a country mile but my PM round was a PB and included an air shot!

Back to back 3rd's, in the mid noughties. Posted some decent 2nd rounds too, but I've always been a slow to come to the boil. Had some spectacular finishes, e.g. 6 birdies in the last 10 holes, so no problem with bottle on the run in. But its the poor starts that crippled me.

Have come 2nd twice in the H/C one but nowhere in the gross.

4th in both Gross and Handicap once.

5th in Handicap at a different club. The lost ball off the 18th tee in the 1st round was SO frustrating!

I've won it for the last two years. Qualified 2nd for the match play (on count back) this year so going for 3 in a row this week.... quarter final tonight!

Runners Up twice , 2nd at Knighton Heath my old club to my mate of 2 and 2nd at Dudsbury GC to a 1 handicapper , lost on the last ..............maybe one day i will do it but it could well be a seniors championship ..........................EYG

3rd is my best, but the score was along way from 1st and 2nd places.

Been beaten four times in the semi finals of our B section, our equivalent to handicap.

Our knockout stages take place this week with Finals Day on Saturday, so will probably find myself up at the club on Saturday afternoon watching the various Finals. It's a good day out usually.

2nd 10 years ago. However, I did win the scratch match play competition that same year. (18 hole qualifier with the top 15 plus the previous years winner going through to the match play phase. I have also lost in the final twice).

A few years ago you could win our club champ's with a couple of rounds just over par. Nowadays you have to be at least 3 or 4 under after 36 holes.

Never been involved in it, my old club had a restriction to enter, not even a nett plate or the like and I had something planned when my new club did it the other week, so my 1st time being involved in it will be next year!

Dont play in it mate , had name down this year but can only play so much , time wise , if i did get a run in it it would mean missing qualifiers etc , after 7 x .1's i might have been better off in the club champs ha
