Really disappointed two weeks ago to go from 12.4 back to 12.5, so very focussed when I pitched up for this mornings comp. Trooping off the first with a quadruple bogey 9 (after holing a big putt!) I wasn't too impressed.

A wee while later I holed a curling 15 footer on 18 for a gross 75, 5 over par and 8 under my handicap. Only 27 putts, and everything seemed completely under control. Missed 1 four foot putt, but other than that it was dream like.

Sorry, just wanted to share - looking forward to finding out what the handicap cut will be!

 :) ;)

Impressive recovery! That opening bad hole is usualy enough to trigger a full-on collapse for me (plus theres no way i'd have holed the putt!).

Congrats. :)

Wow your in the same boat as me. I went today pissed at going to 12.5 last week. Started off 1 point 1 point blob. I then came in with a nice 37 points wth standard scratch being down at 34 points :D

Great stuff! Now there's no reason for you to think a collapse is around the corner if you play great for the first 15 or 16 holes :)
