Amongst all the tips you read and get given, 2 stick out for me that i still use, especially when i start hittin git badly. What do you always revert to when it starts going wrong? (alcohol ...?)
1) After gripping the club with your left hand, drop your right shoulder before gripping with your right hand. This keeps your shoulders square to the target line. If you don't, then your shoudlders will automatically be open, and you'll automatically be setting up for a slice. (peter Thomson i think).
2) Halfway back and halfway through (i.e. 3 o clock and 9 o'clock), your arms should be a mirror image. (Faldo)
Both are good go-to reminders for my swing.
