Best ever round

Somehow my best ever round popped up yesterday on an otherwise dreich afternoon - course quiet, nothing at stake. Birdied 9th (okay a short par 4) chipped in for par on 12th (def not an easy hole). Despite a couple of excursions in water still made 88. Okay, not exactly world-shattering by all your high standards, but a quiet cheer for me. (though the first-timer will probably be beating me by Christmas - 96 sounds prretty good to me!)

Hey there, great news!

88 is a fair knock and if you can do this regularly, you'd be in the top 10% in the world (apparently?).

Just imagine if you'd not visited the water....breaking 85 might be around the corner.

Congrats Ali. Once you break 90 first time its an amazing feeling. I remember thinking I wouldnt do it again for a while, but they keep getting more frequent!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Needless to say today was a bit less inspiring, but where there's life under 90, I reckon there's hope ...
