My best ever purchase would have to be my r7 8.5 tp becasue for me it was the club although i dont use it now that has helped me step up my game and bring it to where it is now.

So what is your best ever purchase it does not have to be a club it could be a bag or item of clothing???

Hard one to pick.

I guess for value and helping my game at the same time it would have to be my Founders Club 200 Series 2 iron.

Brand new from a bargin bin at £15.00. Could have sold it for £95 the same day. Hed a sensicore shaft and was a beautiful bladed 2 iron. Got me out of some tight spots before, getting it re shafted ATM then it'll be back in the back. Might have a lot of dings and bag chatter since new but still one hot club.

Big bertha fusion 5 wood. Bought it not that long into my golf career when it was becoming a dated model anyway, and paid about £80 for it new. It is still by far one of my favorite clubs in the bag, and even though I haven't tried more recent 5 wood models I am 99% confident there will not be a club for a while that could convince me to swap it. If I need to hit a fairway, this is the club I trust, and it very rarely lets me down.

Let's hope this post doesn't jinx it ;)

Best ever buy in golf for me was having my set of powerbuilt made to measure, one reason because of price (pal ;)) and the other because of the improvement and consistency that followed and I knew the pro and his wife real well.

Nice! What did his wife do then? :D

Callaway Great Big Bertha Driver 10 degree firm shaft - the business
Won so many comps and long drives with it. The best club I ever bought by a mile

Big Bertha warbird 3 wood. c.1996 (?)

Best club I ever bought. Broke it, got a steelhead replacement (#I not #II or plus).....been looking ever since for something as damn fine off the fairway....

Powakaddy Twinline 3......the KING of trolleys.

Whoops, that's two. :D

:DNurse(ooops! midwife) who worked with my EX Nurses(midwives) cant get enough golf ;)

My old callaway steelhead 3-wood , boy could I make that work. When I came back after my break I just updated my woods and sent it to a new home , I miss that club and dont use a 3-wood at the moment cos I cant get on with the one ive got. It just doent measure up to that old steelhead :(

Best ever, well that would have to be an Odyssey Dual Force Rossie II way back in the autumn of 1995. saw that there were many of the guys on the Seniors Tour using them at the time and thought it might work for me. It certainly did. I've still got it and it still gets used on the slower greens at this time of year.

Has to be my Yes Tracey11 I dont tend to change my putters a lot maybe had three or four over the years. I dont see me changing this at all.

GoKart
Allows me to play 18 holes without having to worry how much I put in the bag.
Should have bought one years ago

I am with Smiffy on this one. Since buying my Gokart I also don't need to worry about weight of the bag, also I have more energy by the last few holes, even though I play a short course it does help.

My Scotty Cameron Studio Design Putter. I could never find a putter I was truly happy with and indeed went through a really bad time with putting and felt disillusioned with the game because of it. However the Scotty Cameron just inspires confidence and looks beautiful and now makes putting a pleasure.

I came back to golf in 2003 still having kit from 1989, stopped playing about 1990 - did not realise how out of touch I was with how golf technology had moved on.
I acquired a Ram 440fx driver from Direct Golf I think. Took it on course after it arrived in the mail, looked rather sceptically at this enormous looking thing, teed one up and swung....

Jeez Louise it went for ever and was so big you couldn't miss....

I literally couldn't believe it and I was instantly hooked on golf again. :D

Driver went from being the hardest club in the bag to hit to being the easiest apart just like that.
460cc now just looks the norm, bit like my 32" tv - it looked huge when I got that but not anymore, trying to persuade HID that 45" plasma with HD is essential nowadays....but failing :(

My fybrid 3h 21 degree, only had it a short while, but still have yet to hit a bad shot with it, and most of the shots I have hit have been better than I'm capable of.
It has indeed been sprinkled with magical golf dust.
(Except I can't get a matching headcover for it bah humbug!!)

Taylor Made Superquad driver. I have 6 drivers, and it's the only one I can hit further than my old 3 wood. This was the first bit of TM kit I bought, and it changed me from a Callaway whore to a TM whore.

Equipment..... Callaway Hawkeye 7 wood

General golf...Membership at Sundridge Park Golf Club. 2 courses for the price of 1.

BUT HID says the 17s 6d I paid for her  :D
