Guys looking for some help heading to Alicante the end of next month to play a few courses and looking for some recommendations. We are def going to play Bonalba heard its good, but looking for a couple more within reasonable budget. Wouldn't mind spending a bit more for one course, but there is 8 of us going so going to be hard to convince them all to get on board with a dearer round.....we are scottish after all.

Any suggestions appreciated, cheers in advance!

p.s we are hiring cars so shouldn't be a problem getting anywhere.

I've been there 2 years in a row and have played

alicante - excellent

Flop de lop - excellent

And

Valiantas - which has a par 72 championship course and par 62, great 25 min outside alicante and is the best of the ones I've mentioned

Heard good report on bolabana

Do not play el planto

Am just back

thanks mate I will have a look into these, appreciate it!

Been a few years since I played there (the Torrevieja region), but La Finca was excellent, Villamartin was nice & a fair test of Golf, Alto Real near Murcia was ok but nothing spectacular & Las Ramblas beat me up, chewed me up & spat me out !!! Very nice, but not if you don't like 200 yard carries over ravines.
The one course, I would have liked to play was Campoamor, heard it's a really nice course.

Played Alicante enjoyed it but felt it was overrated. You MUST use a buggy its included in your fee......up to half mile between some tees as the course is amongst a huge housing estate!

If your near Benidorm we loved Don Cayo a 9 holer with 18 tees......fab scenery with lovely track.

Got to agree with Andy, Las Colinas, Lo Romero and Hacienda are all very good courses. La Finca used to be our favourite, but the last couple of times I have played (2012) it wasn't in the condition you would expect, if it is, then play it 100%

El Valle is another to look at, it is a desert course, Par 71 if I recall and very challenging.

The 2 I would say make sure you play are La Serena and Hacienda - These are the 2 I recommend to everyone that goes over.
