Best coaching in the Lothian Area

Hi everyone,

Played with my friends son today who is just 12 years of age but was easily +7/8 for a full 18 round a 6400 course and his dad doesn't really know as he doesn't really play who good he is or what he should do with him. I suggested the guy up at Braids for coaching but just in case does anyone know of a coach in the lothians area who is better?

You mean Colin Brooks? I wouldn't look much further than him, to be honest. He's very good.

Brooks is good, but I would not go past Derek Small. A guy who played at a high level and is recommended by pros and club players. No technical stuff from Derek, doesn't fill your head with any of that.

If he's a junior member of a club in the lothians and plays regularly in competitions he should crop up on the LGA radar with regard to coaching. 12 is fairly young, but his junior convener should supply all the info the LGA require and see what happens.
