Best batteries for the Garmin G3

I've recently purchased a Garmin G3 GPS. And im wondering are there any specific batteries I should be looking out for, or will any generic rechargeable battery do the trick?

I just remember buying the wrong batteries for a digital camera once and they drained within a few photos....so i dont wanna make a similar mistake :thup:

I have 2000 mAH Energiser Recharge ones for my G5. One pair does 2 rounds.

i use Duracell recharageable. I just charge them for the half hour before I head to the golf. I don't trust them to do two rounds. I usually forget to turn the thing off after my round anyway.

I always have 2 spares just in case

the gps might yelp at me coming down the 17th that's its running low. ill walk past my golf bag hours later and the lying scoundrel will still be lit up working away.

Same here, mine will go 7/8 holes after it was warned of low battery.

I recently got one as well, I got myself some rechargeable energizer they seem to be ok

Bought 4 Diall rechargeable batteries with a charger from Maplins for less than £20 and its saved me a fortune, they last 2 full rounds at least in the G5.

You can charge 2 or 4 batteries at a time, I've bought another 4 now so I use the spares in my mouse or keyboard.
