Bernard Gallacher

Yes best wishes go to him. My Dad had a heart attack in June this year and is recovering well. It is a serious event to happen but not like it used to be. Providing it has not damaged anything else there is no reason why he should not make a full recovery

I sat at the next table at Wentworth to him for breakfast, he was reading the paper and we didn't speak but he has an aura that I admired. I do hope he gets well.

Never met him myself, but anyone with an admirable aura is fine with me

Echo the above sentiments, super guy.

Had the good fortune to play a few holes with him when he tried to use the grip provided by Gary Player with the finger position marked.

GP had told him he would never be a class golfer with the grip he used and he, GP, would assist him.

Well, it did not help and indeed there is a lovely story that ends with Bernard playing in the final holes and BORROWING balls to so do!!

Al the best to him.

Good to hear that he is recovering well.
It was not a heart attack but a case of 'sudden death syndrome'.
He was very lucky that there was a de-fib at the hotel and the hospital recognised what had happened to him.
Good news.
