Berghaus jackets

As long as you can swing in it without restriction then it would be spot on. Probably better than a lot of golf specific jackets.

Some hiking jackets can be a little stiff and rustly for golf, but that's a good price.
Any way you can try one on before ordering?

Have found it for under £90. Am going to see if there is anywhere around here that has one in stock that I can try on I think.

i use a lightwieght jacket because i cant get a specific golf one to fit :( i cant really swing in it though so tend not to use it

Few! That's a bit better! For a while there I thought the price in that first pic was considered reasonable!

Does look a pretty good jacket though and Berghaus has a very good reputation.

Berghaus do not make rubbish and it is made out of the same material as Galvin Green jackets, it is probably better made too. do not worry about snobby golf wear if it fits and keeps you dry, what more do you need? It may be called Golf but it is basically tramping around a field.

Think it is for Goretex stuff but would still be out of my comfort price zone at £160. Can't find a shop nearby that has it in stock for me to try though so online shopping it is.

That's what I've said to HimID.

Quality gear Berghaus. Cannot imagine playing golf in one though just does not look right. My dad has one but also has another brand for golf. Just do not seem right somehow

Will see what they're like when they arrive but it's the same goretex paclite that GC are made of and way, way cheaper. Only thing I'm not sure about is the packable hoods on both of them.

I've used Berghaus Waterproof trousers for about 6 years, £38 from go outdoors, Absolutely superb. I'd imagine the jackets would be fine for golf I'm not sure many would buy them for golf though.

Only just seen your recommendation for the trousers, thanks as they are somethng else we will be replacing.

Quick update. Both jackets would be ideal for golf imo. The Sprayway one is slightly less crinkly but I'm having the Berghaus one. (different sizes ordered as no idea on fit not that the Sprayway one's sizing is out) Yes, it might not have the stretch fabric inserts of a CG one but it's cost £76.50 instead of nearly £200. Lots more money to spend on other golf things;)
