Been invited to play here with a couple of lads from work etc, but the tee time is 1.50pm for 19th of March, a Sunday. I'm unsure whether we would actually make it round 18 teeing off at this time. Anyone with any experience of how busy/how long rounds take here shed a bit of light on the situation? Members?

Thanks in advance

We went out about 11am and still took 5 hours ! It's a long course but got held up by several slow 4 balls !

however did not spoil our enjoyment though

I just can't see us making it round in 4 hours. Anymore than 4 hours and I think we would run out of sunlight. Cheers for the reply matt

the pga stipulate 4.30 for a round. if you loose light because you cant get round in that time then you'll get a free round.

this is why I'm a 5 day member. i get round the pga in 3 hours in my usual 3 ball

its usually not that bad in winter. they have cut the rough right back to stop people searching for balls. this is the main reason its soooooooo slow.

Sunset isn't until 6:19pm, so you should be ok I think. It won't be unplayable until what? 6:45?

I guess that might depend a little on the weather though.

Cheers for the replies gents, yeah in normal circumstances I'd say we would get round. But with it being a popular place wasn't sure how round times were. Thanks

I'm a member there and play the PGA loads

I would say 4 hrs is rare (unless particularly quite time) 4hrs30 is typical to quite good and 5 hrs unfortunately is not uncommon although you'd be unlucky to go over that unlike the Derby which is rammed
