Belfry in Jan?

Morning everyone

Just had an email from the belfry with deals on digs and the course until 31st jan 2017 (half price offer). Anyway was wondering if the Brabazon and the PGA are any good this time of the year or avoid.

Of course the offers are cheap for a reason but was wondering if it is worth it or not

I did them both last year between Xmas and New Year.

All depended on the weather on the day for me. First day was a light drizzle on the Brabazon and was fine to play. PGA the next day was torrential so only lasted 9.

I played both those courses in April last year and it was wet! Local rule of pick and place in fairways and rough was used.

You might get lucky and get a few days of no rain before you play. I personally would go elsewhere and enjoy the Belfry in the Spring at least

even as a member we stay away from the Brabazon this time of year as its drains the worse of the 3 courses. played it today and it wasn't that bad and greens where very fast. played the pga yesterday and it was very dry for this time of year. greens also very good atm

there's a reason the winter deals are so cheap so just bare that in mind

+1 played there at the end of 2015 as the chance to play the Brabazon seemed too good to miss up. But the drainage wasn't great. Bit of a waste of a round! But if you get lucky with the weather then an amazing round!
