Hi all,

I was thinking of a driver fitting and an overnight stay for me and the wife at the Belfry, has anyone stayed there and what was their thoughts.

Eight of us stayed there a few months ago also for a mates 50th birthday. Think it cost us just under £300 for two nights B & B and a round of golf on each of the three courses. Drinks and food were pricey but it was only a couple nights and we didn't go OTT. Thoroughly enjoyed the break and would certainly go back again. The only downside was the time it took us to play each round, think it was almost five hours for each course but it was the weekend and it was rammed.

Been a few times now and enjoyed every visit.

Yes it can be pricey, but so are most hotels nowadays.

Staff have always been nice, not been since they finished the full refurb though, heard it's been well done.

If you want to save a bit of money then there is a great pub called The Green Man, which is about 5 mins drive away. Great food and works out a lot cheaper than staying in the hotel.

Stayed there in January on a Sunday night deal with the Mrs, it was great, very modern and refreshed. cost me £99 for sunday lunch (which was fantastic), Bed & Breakfast and a 90min Fire & Ice Spa experience.

So its only expensive if you are foolish enough to pay the rack rate. The drinks etc are however, very expensive.

It's expensive in the hotel. I'm not a big fan of the Brabazon but for a celebratory weekend it's still worth doing. It's one to tick off the bucket list and just because I'm not a fan doesn't mean you won't

Enjoy it Beck, I agree with Homer. One to tick off the list. Playing partner and I stayed on masters Sunday, great buzz in Sams Bar (£5 a pint) and a lovely breakfast. The courses were in good nick, and although not mind blowing it was great to walk the same turf as my boyhood heros.

Ask who you have your fitting with. It has to be gaz. Intact, insists on having gaz. By far the best fitter at the belfry.

Unfortunately not for boys from Glasgow. Our Brabazon on the Monday was fuelled by caffeine, chocolate and painkillers....oooft
