Hi all, my university have finally gave me permission to replace the Dunlop clubs currently available to beginners. Both the male and female sets

This is great news for me as it means I can use this as a way to buy clubs without having the guilt of frivolously spending money!

So I am after two full sets pretty much, the clubs will be for people who are at the very beginner side of things to people that are regular enough players that will still want a bit of help.

I'm looking for suggestions on the best clubs to look out for from your own experience or what have you

AND

If anyone has anything that will suit lying around collecting dust to also give me a shout

Thanks all

Dunlop NZ9s are far better than the Power Bilt Irons I had.

I suggest pretty much Dunlop or MD, the top end dunlops actually being decent clubs and only 200 a set.

I still think Fazer are still around, they used to make half decent start sets, there are others out there but I struggle to remember.

EDIT: Yes the Fazer XR irons are their latest lot at around 130 notes.

Just avoid those actual start sets which come in a bag on a trolley, never worth it and cost less than the fazer irons for a driver to putter inc. accessories (no idea how they do that!).

Goto Golfbidder or Ebay and buy some decent second hand clubs. Given the choice between a used set of top end clubs and a set of cheap brand new ones for the same price, I know which I would opt for.
