Hoping to get a game down there, will be in the area around Trevose but open to suggestions and anyone who fancies a round. I have a day pass from HID and the kids so I want to use it wisely. ;)

HNJ,

You could come up and play at Bude, if you don't mind the trip up the coast, or I could pop down and we could play a course further south.

I've heard Trevose, although a great course, is in bad condition at the moment, although could be better in the summer.

PM me if your interested...

Lee

Trevose "lost" 9 greens due to the aftermath of prep for the Brabazon plus some poorly mixed weedkiller!!

The PGA festival (late April) has been moved away from there already, but they do expect everything to be okay by end of May.

I went to Lanhydrock last summer for our Safari, it was a really wet day but the course held up really well. There are some walks between green and the next tee but I would love to go back again. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff especially the professional.

I might be up for a game on Tuesday 7th July but would have to check with my dad if I could borrow his car as mine might be a bit dodgy that far away. Better safe than sorry.

So provisionally -yes please.

I am pretty easy where we play and its great to see some more interest, I hope we can all make a day for it, that would be fantastic. Nearer the date I will confirm my side, its a definite that I am there begining of july but give more exacting dates later.... cheers all.

Lanhydrock is a lovely course! Has very spongy fairways, i think there is moss mixed in, but they play well. I play there quite often, when i can.

I think it has one of the largest bunkers in the SouthWest on the 18th. The clubhouse has had a refurb and its very nice place to be. Food was good too.

Redwood

I have only just joined China Fleet, been there a couple of weeks, so no I have not played for them. I also haven't had the chance to play Bude yet. Is it worth the trip?

Played the Holywell @ StEnodoc yesterday, would have prefered to play Royal North Devon or StEnodoc Church course but funds & my other halves lack of a certificate put paid to that idea.

That said, Holywell was a nice course & felt longer than the yards stated, only a few holes had a linksy feel to them.

Playing Bude today, its a course I love, with several distinct characters.

Before of course we travel accross to Devon Tomorrow to visit my Parents, hoping I'll get the chance to play AxeCliff again or Maybe East Devon, not played there yet. Though did notice a couple of Links courses towards Dorset I'd also like to play funds allowing. But it is my birthday soon, so... :)

Thats a good enough reccomendation for me Cernunnos, I think Bude is favorite, what do you reccon Redwood, just a date to organise?

Bude is fine with me. I'll play anywhere, and if it's a course I don't have to pay to play, all the better!! ;)

Let us know when your free that week HNJ, and I'll get it sorted.

Will do, its likely to be from the 4th of july onwards that we are in Cornwall as I have just been ordered by HID :D but playing there one day will be a definite. ;)
