I went to american golf today to look for a new 3 wood to replace my ping anser that i sold as i never got on with it off the tee. tried the rbz that that is on offer for 99 pounds which was a great club then tried rbz stage 2 then the callaway x hot. Well the rbz stage 2 was going 250 yards off the tee which i was well happy with but i then had a go of the callaway x hot.. That club is crazy long hit 5 balls and they ranged from 260 to 275 yards off the tee. It was amazing distance off a 3 wood. Problem was i could not afford the x hot so decided to go for a rbz stage 2. It was second hand only hit 10 balls down the range and the guy bought the wrong shaft and could not return it as it was used so i had a bargain. If i had another 50 i would have been walking out with the x hot that club is crazy long guys. Anyone else had a go with them?

Impressive distance with a 3 wood.

I know the RBZ range is meant to be long, but that's insane.

Glad you're happy with the bats. What makes them perform so different to the Ping?

Personally i think the ping anser had a smaller club face then the above and i was always fighting the fade/slice with it. I read on another forum that a few people have same problem. The 3 wood above go further than my driver

Around the same distance with a 3 wood as Mcilroy so I would have snapped there hand off for the club

The x hot is really out there club, i think jamie sadlowski help design it the long drive guy. Wish i had more cash had to split payment half credit card half cash for the rbz stage 2 wiped me out. In a few months i am 100% getting one. I suggest to anyone that want a 3 wood try this one out!

I don't want to be the one to burst your bubble but the launch monitors at AG are lets say (tweaked) see how long it is on the course but I will be surprised if its the same as AG's launch monitors which personally I believe should be illegal as they are selling you something based on false in store monitor readings.

I also hit my 20 degree rescue 220-230 but I would be surprised if I could hit a 3 wood 275 yards.

And the doubters arrive........
I hit my rbx stage 2 18* hybrid about 250 so not too far out at all.
Rbz stage 2 is long so the x hot is silly.

I'm only doubting AG's monitors, in no way am I saying Mark is a liar as they are the readings he has been given.

What degree is the X-Hot you hit Mark?

Another doubter about the monitor distances I'm afraid. That said if you hit it well and straight then in my opinion the distance is a little irrelevant. The 3 wood is suppose to be more of a safe option off the tee. I wasn't that blown away by the Xhot woods but I love the X-hot irons and thought they were longer than the TM Tour preferred irons I was hitting.

I hope you get on with the new club and think you have a bargain even if the distances aren't quite what they were in the shop

I have the 4 wood. On a monitor it was 10-15yds longer than my Titleist one.

It just has a totally different feel to any older fairways. I honestly think this 'hot face' marketing of the x-hot and rbz is a genuine advance in technology. It just feels so powerful and solid.

Hi Mark what a fantastic story you seem very excited to have purcased a new club and cant wait to use it. As i have stated before i work for ag and have the pleasure of over seeing us helping thousands of passionate golfers like yourself every week. Can i just clarify a few things that might make it easier for logic to prevail regarding a few of the more doubting contributers to this thread. your club head speed? what you would normally expect to hit a 3 wood in calm conditions total distance? what type of ball you used could also be a factor? good luck with the 3 wood they do go very long those stage 2s
