06:30 tee off at Whichkam and played the best roundm well basically I've ever played.

1 = 4 (par)
2 = 4 (par)
3 = 4 (Bogey)
4 = 6 (Double)
5 = 4 (Bogey)
6 = 4 (Par)
7 = 4 (Par)
8 = 4 (Bogey)
9 = 5 (Bogey)
Out = 39
10 = 6 (Bogey)
11 = 5 (Bogey)
12 = 6 (Double)
13 = 3 (Par)
14 = 4 (Par)
15 = 6 (Double)
16 = 6 (Double)
17 = 4 (Bogey)
18 = 6 (Double)
In = 46
Total = 85

An 85, a flipping 85, never been that low, as you can probably tell I'm over the moon and the plus point is I know I can go lower fairly easily by just being a little more aggresive on the putting. 3 or 4 of the doubles could have been just bogeys as I left the putts just a foot or less short and another couple were the opposite in being to hard and lipped out.

So my putting strength needs some work, but the read was spot on.

Two more cards and I get my first official handicap.

Well done fella :thup:

What's the condition like? It's one of the courses I'm looking at joining this year.

Cheers Fellas,

@Kev, Whickham 'Crombie' course is a Par 71, the Nordman, is longer and a Par 74.

@Deano, the course is in cracking condition, the greens are running true, fast and are immaculate, the greens staff are doing a wonderful job.

Well done pal, breaking 85 has to be next and shouldn't be too much of an issue for you.

The crombie was a par 68 when I was a member and according to their website and your round review still is. Nordman is a Par 72, the reason I left was because they said they wouldn't be going back to the Nordman "for the foreseeable future". Shame as it was always in good nick.

D'oh, must have had my skirt on, I was looking at the ladies card. Yes indeed, the mens courses are 68 for the Crombie and 72 for the Nordman.

The Nordman opens up on the 8th July, first time in two years it'll have been played.
