Not sure if this is the right place, but it can't do any harm.
Friday Bes was out walking his dog when he fell, banging his head. Luckily he was found quite quickly so got to hospital in quick time. Although serious he is expected to recover but at the moment his docs are keeping him under, swelling or something, I'm no doc.
This is our problem.
Mrs C was looking through his diary for the next few weeks when she found this entry for Monday 26th.
"Golf with DS and TB at War G C"
Not having a clue who this refers to, she asked me if I knew but I don't, but I do know he comes on here a bit.
If anybody recognises themselves or someone else could you please let me know, so I can put Mrs Cs mind at rest. She knows Bes would hate to let anyone down so is needlessly worrying about this, when she already has enough on her plate at the moment, cheers. WW.

It's Dewsweeper and Tashyboy, I'm sure they'll read this, please give him all our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Gutted for you bes, pull through it me man. Tell Missis B not to worry. Thanks for contacting us. Cheers pauldj42 me man.
Will still be there DS.

Thanks Paul, I've sent them both a pm.
I'm sure he'll be fine, the stubborn so an so.
I'll update later after seeing Mrs C, thanks to you it's one less thing for her to be worrying about. Cheers again.

Thanks for the pm.
Really sorry to hear this news.
Tashy is still coming over.
Trust you will keep us all upto date.
Will be sure to rearrange with bes when he is on the mend.

a quick update.
Just got back from having a brew with Mrs C and it would appear he has been a very lucky boy.
After a scan although he has fractured his skull it is something called a closed fracture, apparently thanks to his beany hat, and only slight bruising. he is now concious and although a bit confused he knows his name and recognised his family. Obviously they will keep him under close observation for a couple of days, but evrything looks good.
Mrs C said i should be able to visit tommorrow all being well, which is great, we have become fast friends this last month or two which is amazing, because im not the easiest person to like. thats golf i guess.
Dewsweeper and Tashyboy, have a good round tommorrow and i will be sure to pass on your kind wishes. I will pm you both tommorrow night with an update. Cheers WW.

Thanks for the update.
This dog walking is not supposed to be a contact sport!
Think we will get wet tomorrow.
Hope to hear bes is improving, be sure to tell him he cannot get out of our game that easily.
Mal

Setting off in 10 mins and looks like we will be wetter than a fishes eyelids. Glad alls wellish. Had a quick giggle looking at your dog signature and thought how apt..

cheers for for the update.

Well am back, me last post about wetter than a fishes eyelids was so very true.

Met Mal aka Dewsweeper and hit it off straight away. Me and him teed of more or less as soon as we were ready and the course was gorgeous. Mal dropped a twenty footer in and won the first hole. I thought here we go. After about half a dozen holes even though I kept score I don't think either of us was that bothered.
some of the holes are long even off the yellows and some are short. It made a refreshing change hitting a good drive and being able to hit a green in two. When I say hit the green I mean have a chance. Tash went on a right streak of two pars. Let's not talk about the triples. Mal said some of the members are not happy about the greens having had some work on them. But in all honesty they ran true. Some of the views were gorgeous, even looking through the mist and rain clouds. On one green we were looking at Manchester and the Pennines, walked to next tee and was looking at the Mersey, Wales and the new bridge being built at Runcorn.
Mal the daft sod would not let me pay, but ave just noticed on the back of me soggy ticket was £17.50. 😳 For less than a quid a hole I felt like Robin Hood. ( well I am from Notts) it was an absolute steal. Anyone that part of the world that wants a good days golf that won't break the bank. Get along to Warrington.
Left a good bit earlier than I wanted coz the traffic was horrendous and coming home was not much better. But well worth the effort.
Mal bless ya luv ya squeeze ya and will see you again. Hopefully with Bes next time. Thanks for the northern 😜 hospitality.

Yes, I love a knock at Warrington.

Played it about 3 times now on twilights, all for about £20, which is a steal.

Glad to hear that Bes is on the mend.

Tashyboy that's a very nice write up.
I do not often play golf in the wet these days and after yesteday I realise why.
Glad you enjoyed our day at WGC, pity I had forgotten no catering on a Monday!
Next time play I hope to stay dry, when I got home I put all my wet golf gear in the garage and jumped into the tumbledrier myself.
Hope we can have a re run with bes soon and hope for a clearer day.
Nice to see you hitting those pings so well.
All the best
Mal

Glad you enjoyed Warrington, it is a nice course, haven't played it for a couple of years though as the ladies opens I play in there are so popular and quickly fill up.

Talking to Mal about the ladies action at Warrington and he said they have a right gang of girls up there. Can understand why the opens are popular. It was a real pleasure being able to hit good drives and then be able to hit a green with the second shot. Played ours today and playing into the wind on a par four 400 yd. I hit my best drive, three wood and a seven iron into the front of the green. Then dropped a fourty foot putt 2" short. 😠
