Late, late call. If I can get at least a 3-ball, will go ahead with a game.

Course is in amazing condition and they will probably roll or iron the greens today as there is a match vs. Woburn just after we tee off.

We have a 4-ball - my friend who is a golf architect and actually designed a couple of the greens (7 and 18) at Bearwood!!

Happy shooting today - could be the nicest day of the year if the weather stays like this!

Have a good round guys.

I was just going to put my name down after some tense "negotiations" but I'm sure that even though mrs wookie said otherwise there was going to be some aftermath so maybe for the best!

If there's anything going later in the summer I'd love a chance to play it again please Paul.

Enjoy!

Sounds good Wookie - maybe you and I vs. Adey and another from his direction - Berkshire (ish) versus The Flat Lands (only people with the requisite number of toes need apply!)

Huge thanks again to Paul for today - a real treat!
As he has the Club Championships coming up soon he thought it might be a good idea to play from the back(Black) tees
That'll be 6875 yards then with not much roll as they'd had a lot of rain in the week - longest course I've played!
And it was playing longer - very hard work but such a quality place.
Thanks to Foxy and Paul's mate Robin for some quality banter on the way round.
We made the mistake of stopping at the halfway hut - front 9 wasn't too bad between us but after we got up to the 10th tee the standard of play diminished remarkably! Why, I do not know, it must have been the tea....
We all played some quality shots as well as some hideous ones....

If you get the chance to play Bearwood - grab it.:fore:

But don't play off the Blacks...:mmm:

Blacks weren't bad - though interesting playing the 1st!. The half-way house definitely did something! Npthing to do with the fact that we were 4 down at the time!

Fabulous course in great nick. Blacks is where it;s at - all the bunkers are out if my range! Unfortunately, so are the greens! A couple of holes won with doubles! Views from anywhere on and off the course are just magnificent!

Indeed, if you get a chance to play it - grab it! Many thanks to Paul for hosting.
