Isn't Ethan a member there?

On a side note, my club has just taken on a new head greenkeeper from there as ours is off to a new club in surrey.

Love the place, wonderful course, strange thing to say but perfect turf... Nothing bad to say about the place... maybe the club house it a little bit of a barn. 9/10.

I played it with a member (PNWokingham) after the Mizuno fitting day. Loved the course and the whole set-up. Paul was a great host and the members in the bar afterwards were very friendly.

The course was in fantastic condition, and for the time of year the greens were amazingly quick. Not the hardest course you will ever play from tee to green, but get the wrong side of the hole on your approach shots and you will be facing an almost guaranteed 3-putt. The greens must be scary fast in the summer. A very modern parkland golf course with some fantastic holes.

If you get nervous hitting over lots of water on a par 3, then go prepared and wear some leak proof undergarments. A couple of the par 3's almost have more water than grass:) There is not a bad hole on the course, but like most courses local knowledge helps on a few of them.

You will not be disappointed.

Would love to have another crack at it one day.

Edit: As a bit of a fish geek I loved the massive koi pond in front of the clubhouse, some real beaut's in there.

Played there as the guest of a member and it is a really great track. The rework that they carried out to the course a couple of years ago make the opening to the back 9 a super challenge.

Enjoy the experience!

Yes, i've played it - PNW had to suffer me and I had to suffer his Cargo Shorts and the tornado of his swing!

Ethan is also a member and is hosting 3 forummers there as I post this!

Lovely course and they are still improving it. Very relaxed atmosphere and some really picturesque and very good holes.

Don't pass the chance up!

Just back from a game with a few other forum members. Course is in good order and will only get better now. The club always offers a friendly welcome to guests and the facilities are pretty good.

No do or don'ts. It isn't that sort of club with a stuffy attitude or etiquette traps for guests. The course is very fair without hidden tricks. Staying below the hole is a good idea when the greens are fast.

Not playing with Paul if you want a quiet round is another good tip. Can't wait to play on Monday and give slasher another beating.

I think after my above remark I may have blown my chances of playing B L in the near future. Always up for game at just about my favourite parkland course.

Guys - on the train home after a cooking evening with clients. All i can say is that if you have the choice if hips or mash, take the low-fat option and order youfr spuds fried!! Looking forward to Monday
