With my own course closed for the afternoon my brother in law and I decided to take advantage of a deal between several private courses in Kent to play each others for £15 in the week. I rang Bearsted pro shop and asked if we could play this afternoon. The pro was the most pleasant one that I have spoken to in ages and we arranged to tee off at 2pm
On arrival, the pro's attitude was the same in person as on the phone, he sorted out which tee would be best for us as a 2 ball, pointed us in the right direction and sent us off with a "I hope that you enjoy the course and you would be welcome to stay for a drink afterwards"
The course was really good and when we came in he chatted to us for a while and asked what we thought of the course etc
I wouldn't normally write such a glowing report but this guy is a real asset to Bearsted and I hope that Richard or any other members read this and appreciate what they have there. I played Sunningdale on Monday but, while I have no complaints at all, their pro's didn't offer any help or advice from when we arrived to when we left
