In my line of work, I'm not often afforded to chance to take a foreign holiday, but next year looks like it could happen.

Looking for hotel recommendations that fulfils all of these criteria:

-Location close to UK (under 4 hour flight)
-All inclusive
-Lots of different restaurants i.e. not just one buffet with the same deep-fried slop every day with allowance for one visit to a shockingly bad a la carte restaurant on site. Good choice of BBQ, burgers etc during the day
-Proper drink: whisky, wine, lager etc from known brands
-Lots of entertainment/facilities/pools in the resort or very close by
-Good for kids (under 2)

Thanks all- I know it's a boring thread but personal recommendations are worth a lot to me.

Croatia. I just spent two days there for work.

Pro's weather, beach, they all speak english, 2hr flight from Heathrow (so 3-3.5 from your neck of the woods) Tons of local beers, cheap as chips! I stayed in the "best" hotel in Zagreb, Fillet steak was 14 quid, a pint was 2 quid and thats deemed a rip off by everyone!

Dubrovnik is where you want to look, cant help with specifics, but croatia as a country is high on my list for a family holiday now!

Insotel cala mandia or viva Mallorca both in Majorca. Brilliant for kids, branded drinks and very good food that changes constantly. Have a look on tripadvisor.com at the reviews.

Nissi Beach Resort in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
The entire road from it to the centre of Ayia napa is lined with all kinds of restaurants (many have child play areas at yhe back) along with seafood diners at the harbour. Very child friendly, you can even walk with your kids at 12am and feel totally safe and weather never disappoints. Travel is just pushing the 4 hours if I remember rightly.
