Be Carefull Out There.

Lots of surface water and debris on the roads. Add to that the gusting wind and it's a fun drive in this morning.

Was going to try out the driving range at St Andrews this morning but Tay Road Bridge has been shut at least once already so it's Ballumbie for me - wrapped up warm.

Got a photo shoot with some fitba players at 1pm advertising Xmas gifts from the club shop - believe one of the items is a onesie - if it stays cold I might get volunteers to model that rather than having to force them to do it.

What's fitba?
Looked it up in the Oxford English Dictionary ........................ nothing!
Maybe it's a new 'street' word or just a mis-spelling of a proper word.

Slime.

All trains in Scotland now cancelled and Police Scotland just upped the warning to Red.

A wise choice by me to stay at home today. Hopefully all the folks who still went in get home again safely.

Was up and out at 7am with the dugs, I really cannot recall a worse combo of rain/wind/cold ever.Even my daft Labs lookedat me as if to say, lets go home mate.

IT has been a bit wet and blowy out there this morning. I cannot remember a heavy rain strong wind combo like we had this morning, starting to die down now and we have blue skies here in Newcastle now (11:24hrs)

Edit: Noticed some more clouds coming in, but the wind has changed direction, more northerly, where as earlier this morning, it was westerly.

we had upwards of 70mph gusts last night.

The current Mrs 148 had a small cold frame on our patio, that was about 4 ft high and 3 tf wide, full of plant pots and some of her gardening tools.

No sign of it this morning, though most of the contents are spread around the garden.

when i dropped her off at work, there were wheelie bins everywhere some hundreds of yards from the nearest house.

Kessock Bridge was closed to all vehicals as well.... beware england its coming your way.

will be just a bit windy by the time it hits there

Central Station shut (for a while?) as some room glazing comes down. Doesn't have to be much as it has a fair bit to drop and a hard surface to shatter on. Getting windy down here now. Schools will soon be shutting sending children home early in case wind blows over a pupil on school grounds and he grazes his knee (think I'm kidding?)

I turned up for our comp this morning, I was the only one there.

I went to ours as I didn't want to let my partner down. However, someone else had been let down so I pulled out and my partner went out with her. I did a bit of practice then went home watching wheelie bins flying everywhere as I did. Found out they pulled the comp after a few holes as too dangerous to play.

My course is closed as the hotel has no power or water. I had no idea my course was electrically operated, You learn something every day.
