Nothing gets the sparks flying like a royal rumble over this debate.

For me and despite the better field I like BDO because I don't have Sky, anything that Barveneld is involved in I'm not interested in (i'm still laughing from when Klassen whooped him for his fifth World title in front of The Crafty Cockney) and the general atmosphere of PDC comps. is too ladish (and that bl00dy music they play does my firkin' nut in)- duh duh duh...duh duh duh........duh duh duhduhduh duh duh etc.

Have to hand it to The Power though. Throws like a geriatric but is as close to an undisputed world champion as were ever likely to see.

As much as I like the Tony O'Shea's of this world he can't mix it with The Power.

Anyone know if The Wizard has crossed over to PDC? be a shame if he has but Baryy Hearn generally gets what he wants.

PDC, makes the BDO look like a sub-standard and mickey-mouse organisation.

The PDC is the saviour of darts.

You won't get much of an argument from me MWJ but can you honestly say you prefer the overall format of the PDC comps?

Players loose a lot of rhythm in those advert breaks. It feels like a gig rather than a game of darts and theres a prevailing atmosphere of 'local nightclub about to turn into a fight' about the presentation.

There's also the perrenial argument that without a BDO there wouldn't be a league system for PDC players to come through from.

I think the BBC has a part to play in this too. How about chucking some of our licence money at a free to air unified league?

Having the sport on a pay only system is stifling the game but as you say , it would have gone under when Embassy pulled out otherwise.

It's time to bring darts back in a big way.

Silly me, forgot that the BBC doesn't really 'do' sport anymore

Dart dream - Adams and Taylor on a first to ten set (5 legs per set) match for an undisputed title and a £100k prize.

I have to say for the pro game then PDC does everything in terms of getting value for money for the players but for the grasss roots of the game then it simply wouldn't exist without the dedication of the BDO.

I'd like to see some sort of feeder system where the top 6 of the BDO rankings get to play the PDC events the following season and the 6th bottom PDC get relegated to BDO events. Will never happen but would make interesting viewing. Bit like trying to keep your tour card.

I guess the PDC is the PGA of darts and the BDO is the Challenge Tour. I think you can't argue that the quality of the PDC fields is stronger in depth but agree that games do get changed by ad breaks. I must get my board up again and get back to playing for the pub!

Sorry, but all these pseudonyms for darts players makes the whole thing comical, can't take it seriously.

You can understand it, just, with boxing but with darts it takes it to the level of american square dancing (sometimes known as 'wrestling')

Tony O'shea used to be a greenkeeper at my club, would never pick up a shovel in case it damaged his hands ?

The problem is the BBC have used £250m to get Formula 1 so there is bugger all left for other sports. Lets be honest hear, if it wasn't for Switzerlands No.1 driver they wouldn't have even contemplated it.

I think they are wasting tax payers money.

Totally agree with andy, £250m to watch a corporate puppet tax dodger isnt exactly serving the license payer.

MVP is bang on about the atmos at PDC events, went to darts at the casino rooms and also the circus tavern and it is awesome. people want the showbiz stuff, not the stuck in the 70's style of the BDO.
