Tomorrow night promises heavy snowfall where I am so you can bet come Monday, Tesco shelves will be empty, roads will be death traps and schools will be closed.
And don't forget the weather boys and girls reminding us to wrap up warm if you're going out :ooo:
Really? :D

No golf here on Sunday

Forcasted to hit Stoke on Trent at around 3pm tomorrow afternoon.

Got job I'm off at 8am tomorrow.

Chilly with showers for tomorrow , 1st society outing of the new year .
Dry & chilly on sunday 13 holes last round of the winter league .. No snow in the Emerald Isle..

Good job too . 2" brings this country to a halt ..

Im shadowing a team of scouts around "The Quest" a 12 mile "incident" hike from 3pm Saturday till midnight.

Just bought some crampons and an ice axe, im going to need them

Fragger

Forecast here at about 1600, I'm off at 0812 so should be back in time! Glad I don't work anymore and have to argue with 20 drivers to get the hell out of the yard, it's only a bit of snow!

Got a lesson booked for 2.15 tommorow afternoon and that should be OK and I should be good for a bucket or two after. Think working on it Sunday might be out of the question. You'd think with it snowing at the weekend it'll give the road people and train operators plenty of chance to get things sorted for Monday morning - Yeah right

Not too bad a forecast for the weekend in the West of Scotland. A positively balmy 5 degrees, sunny and no wind forecast for Sunday. :ears:

Nice to see the south getting it for a wee change.

A broken ankle from slipping on ice
Hypothermia
A visit from the Men in White Coats
Frostbite
A close call with a Polar Bear
and meeting up with the film crew from Frozen Planet....

Well it's been nice knowing you guys down there. Given the apocalyptic reports on the tv news and weather this morning, it's looking like the end of the world is nigh.

Amazing what the threat of a light dusting of snow can do ;)

I can only think we get a different quality of snow and ice in the south that makes it tougher - I remember last year we had an item on Look East (BBC East Anglia) on the disruption and the outside broadcast team were in Luton or similar commenting on how some people couldn't get their cars out of their drives because of the ice. It must have been really bad as the car they were filming next to in the housing estate was a long wheelbase Mitsubishi Shogun.

I never had that problem driving in the snow in my old Anglia van when I was at Uni in Durham.

No snow here but the freezing conditions were enough to shut the course this morning. Cannot say that I was too upset to be sat in the warm with bacon sarnie, fresh coffee and watching the cricket.
