This week I've seen thousands of geese flying over. I must be on the flight path. If they're off, then winter can't be far behind.

Worse than that is being under a massive flock of starlings doing their evening murmuration.
Great to watch but take an umbrella and goggles....:poop:

You need geese to tell you winter can't be far behind 😂😂 I work on the basis of the months of the year, it's much easier 💪👍

we get thousand around Nairn, but not many come on the course, not during the day anyway. there are fields full of them between the airport and Nairn.. mostly Pink footed, get a small flock of Brent down on the beach over winter

Maybe they wont be pooing over our fairways now

A course near me was recently closed for a day as large numbers of geese were shot.
The geese weren't resident, they flew in each day for feeding and crapping purposes before flying out in the evening.
A mate of mine has well over a dozen geese in his freezer!
