Anyone know offhand of anywhere doing cheapish but decent shoes (not asking much eh).

I'm getting a pair for my birthday but there's no point shelling a fortune just now til i join a new club.

looking up to about 50 quid

Not a big name but look at stylo legends on justgolfonline.co.UK. I bought a pair after seeing the ones donated for the help for heroes meet. Very comfortable and only £35.

they're not bad for delivery times/ costs etc BUT if you have a faulty item you return it and have to wait for a decision to be made by them before a replacement item is despatched.

Not a huge issue with some items I suppose, I'd bought a complete starter package from them some time back. Couple of weeks later the stitching on the strap covering started coming apart. Purely a cosmetic rather than a functional problem - they wanted the whole package returning for them to assess and then they would send out a whole new package  for the sake of a strap!

Sent them pics of the fault and they gave a great partial refund to compensate. Accepted this, bought a padded strap sleeve

and then went and upgraded my bats and bag anyway

Just risked it and got them off tinterweb. Don't noramlly have problems with sizes etc so hopefully will be fine. All the reivews are good. Only playing a couple of times a month this season so i'll get by fine for the time being.

Only reason I mentioned it is because I bought a pair of Nikes off the 'web and had to sell them 'cos they gave me blisters despite ordering my "normal" size (9).
Never had that problem with Footjoys

I'll report back when i get them Smiffy. I know it's not ideal buying shoes off the web but i can usually get away with a 10 despite being an 11. So ordered the 11 to make sure. I think i must be a 10.5 shoe wise

Nike shoes plus my feet = don't get on at all, they fight with each other all day!

Thanks a million everyone. I looked at the Footjoy AQL's, and will get a pair next season but got these for 40 quid! Cheapest i could see them elsewhere was 50quid, and they seem to have great reveiws

Nike Shoes

For anyone that was interested, i wore the Nikes for the first time last night and they are without a doubt the comfiest shoes i've ever worn. That's from taking them out of the box in the car!

Biggest thing i noticed was the stability during the swing, they've got a bar type thingy running along the undersole that aids stability. Really works.

Highly reccomend, brilliant value for 40 quid, and quite honestly i've owned shoes up to £100 that haven't come close.

In saying that i haven't worn them in the wet yet, but at that price they'd be ideal as a summer shoe anyway

Since returning to golf last year, I've had two pairs of Nike shoes. Both are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had.

I only upgraded to the Lunar control shoes to make sure my feet stayed dry and I agree that the stabily bar thingamy does aid stability.

And yes, they're comfy right out the box.
