Apparently in the olden days, there were mythical clubs that even the pros used to avoid...... (i am only a pup at 35:whistle:)

Well i saw one today and could not resist the urge. Cost me a fiver :D

What a beauty!!

$_86.JPG

Hit about 30 balls with it

Full shots, low punches and tee shots.

Its obscenely long!

Full shots carry about 240 plus and even little low punches are running out past 200.

I did have a tendency to put a high(ish) push shot on it, but its not mega hard to get results with.

So i am putting it in the bag.

No way will i be attempting to hit full blown shots of the fair way. However i think that on a windy day (like most recently) little punch shots will be the order of the day and i might (might) use it from the tee on our par 4 8th (maybe):D

Bet its a cracker for escaping from under the trees with too

at a fiver there was no way i could refuse.

Question is

Do i need my head looking at?

:mmm:

jGreat find. What is not to like? my mate lent me a zing 3i and it is so easy to hit.

Really fancy a mint set of ping zing beryllium irons.

240 carry, did it come with some magic beans?;)

I had a good chat with Karsten Solheim and John Jacobs at the Open back in ~89. Was a golf mad 14 year old at the time. He was a really nice bloke.

Still have a Ping Eye 1&2 iron and they still work when they get let out.

Are you mad?

Nah. I bought a Wilson graphite shaft 5 iron nearly 15 years ago for a tenner and its still my go to club. Its whatever works in this game.

It's so ugly TheRod will be on here any time soon, wanting to add it to his ugly club selection.

Ugly. Ping. Old.

What's to like?

Oh agree.

It's an ugly pup and sticks out in a bag made up of forged amp irons, lovely Cleveland hybrids and a stealthy ping driver.

There is also a huge amount of offset at address.

Tell you what though.

It goes like stink.

So it can stay for now.

Can't wait till i play Heysham next weekend.

Hope it's blowing a hooley
