Not trying to write out any reviews, but just thought it might be nice to have a place to add your bargain buys for balls (as its probably the thing most of us buy most of the year). Just a note of the price and location is all is needed, hopefully everyone can add some each time they see them.

I'll start with Wilson DX3's from clubhouse golf, £27 for 2 dozen seems a decent price.

Also American Golf are having a members offer over the weekend of Srizon z-Star at £50 for 2 dozen.

AG are also offering upto 25% of Taylormade balls too.

Got 14 dozen sitting on top of the wardrobe I've won or been given for birthdays/Chrimbo. Buying new balls isn't something I'll be doing for a while. I do plan to get a sleeve of 3 of the new Penta 3 piece to see how it compares to the rubbishy 5 piece but that is my lot.

I used to have dozens and dozens, but since having lessons am down to only 2 dozen. I guess that should see me to Woburn. May be.

American golf are doing 3 for 2 on Wilson balls.

Dx3 -£17.99 ... So around £12 a dozen with the offer.
FG Tour - £29.99 .... So around £20 a dozen with the offer.

Hope my GM vouchers turn up soon then as I will be having 3 dozen FG Tours.

I took advantage of those DX3 offers on Cubhouse golf and have been mightily impressed. What a ball for the money. Some good 3 for 2 offers on gloves there as well... worth stocking up for the season.

I get my balls for between 10p and 20p each on gumtree and these often include good condition pro v1s. I refuse to pay £1-£3 for a ball that's just going to go in the trees anyway.

You see I always thought like this but since having a bash with some premium balls I find that in general I lose less because they're more consistent. For instance I can't seem to get a Top-Flite to go straight but the two Prov1's I liberated from the bucket at the range are much more consistent even managing 11 holes with one the other day before dunking it in a lake.

I know this is a bit late because the offer has finished, but worth looking out for if it comes back, American Golf had refurbed Pro V1's for £9.99 a dozen, back to £17.99 now, glad I grabbed some!
