Anybody watching the Barca match? Messi has just scored his 5th goal of the match. Tonight included his 8th hatrick of the season. I'm a bit dubious about the quality of some of his Spanish opposition in La Liga, and he hasn't set his international career alight...but what a talent. Scary to watch how easily he rips teams apart. The greatest player ever?

I think it's a €180m buy-out clause plus transfer fee so probably about €250m which is just ridiculous when you think about it.

Pass and move,that's all they do but they do it so well.
Messi hasn't done it with Argentina yet, until he does there will be some question marks.
Maradona achieved all he did carrying the whole team himself at International and club level, Messi is surrounded by superb players at Barcelona. He is superb of course.
To beat them you need to play like Chelsea used to, mean defence and use physical size to dominate them at corners and set pieces.

Liverpool have being trying to revert back to pass and move unfortunately they forgot to tell Adam and downing to pass to their own team and to tell Carroll that you have to move. Wonder if barca would swop messi for all our signings since kenny took over?

I think with some more work on his weaker left side, a decent haircut and more effort in his tackling..the boy might have a future in the game..
