Off to Barbados on Monday and staying in Hastings, just wondered if anyone has played at Rockley Golf Course which is close to us, and if anyone has any good tips or info i would appreciate it. ;0)

I've played at Rockley, although it was a few years back, so may have changed.
If its still the same, its just a 9 hole track. They were building lots of new accommodation and housing it seemed, so hopefully they haven't spoilt it.
The grass on the course is pretty thick Bermuda grass, so the fairways and rough are a bit different from here. If the ball is sitting up in the stuff its almost like have a tee to play off, if its sitting down it can be a bit of a nightmare.
The grass on the greens is different too, its hard to explain, but the grain of the grass has a much bigger effect than it typically does on British courses.
I was staying on the Rockley resort so drinks and golf were all included, so can't say much about the costs.
Have you been to Barbados before? If so you'll know what I am talking about, so sorry for the old news.
Be careful about picking good tee times. Most days it is very likely you will have tropical storms in the morning and\or evening. These don't last long, but throw down a huge amount of water, so you wouldn't want to get caught out.
Also pretty obvious but in the middle of the day the sun is very hot and bright so take care with that too. I took an Alvaro Quiros style hat to protect myself, and it was definitely a good move.
Don't care if you guys think I'm a tosser, I avoided getting burnt and sunstroke!

Cheers Guys, and i went there 20 years ago Surefire but didnt play golf then and also got caught in a couple of those showers and they were deluges.
I might see if i can bring you a stick of rock back Smiffy, i am sure i can find one that has `Gobshite` running through it.
If i have room i will take the `V Easy` Bob, might chuck a few of the Wifes clubs out to make room.
