Rang Ping up today at Gainsboro to try and make a booking to put some serious Tashyboy money there way on weds.
They cannot make the booking as there all off coz it's bank Holiday, won't be back til Tuesday. Since when has Ping been a bank ?
Thing is there is only three people work in my Bank, Santander.
1, stands at the door saying "would you like to pay a cheque in".
No coz it's 2016 and no one uses them.
2, says "sorry 1.5% is the best rate for your ISA".
3, makes coffee for the other two.

Bank holidays are rubbish when you are retired.

Thing is when I worked at the pit, I had to work every flippin one. Either twelve hour days or twelve hour nights.
missis T took me to a garden centre today as part of my rehabilitation being a normal person.
 
And every day is a weekend day... Echo Bob's comment. You ordered through your pro, and he booked the appt. Guess things have changed with the upsurge of High St sellers.

I think it might have done Bob, I rang a year or so ago with no probs to have a booking for a driver appointment. I have spoken to them today but they have told me fitting/ bookings is closed til Tuesday. Would be bogged off if you now have to book through your club as I told them my plans two weeks ago.

Not sure about the Ping thing, but a few years ago in Spain during one of their bank holidays , their OAPs were entitled to a discounted lunch/dinner at a 3/4/star hotel .
I know, because they were hovering over us waiting for our/ their table.

The Caf/Restaurant at the central bank where I worked for a while was actually called Wunch's!

Couple of years ago played in Portugal, it was the last week in March. Played with three wunchers from Scotland. They were having a weeks R and R before going back to the madhouse of the new financial tears ISA's. They were not looking forward to going back to work.
