I would say you should get to a range TONIGHT and get used to them. Due to the shorter shafts in these kind of clubs I would suggest you play them the same way you would a 6 or 7 iron. I have a Hogan 3 and 4 and I move the ball forward and back depending on how high I want to hit it but for a standard shot I usually have the ball a little left of centre, maybe 2-3".

I only play 3 ball positions. Driver, woods/long irons, medium/short irons. I play my nine wood in between, i.e. two? inches forward of "middle of stance"

hi darren.
last wk i got the 22 burner and played friday with it and struggled wi ball position myself.when i hit it good it was really good but i duffed loads and felt a bit dissapointed with the club but in reality the club is great but i am not.playing this aft so im gona spend a bit in the range practiscing ball position.
i thought that you play it slightly back in stance as opposed to a tee shot with the same club but if anyone could add some more insight on this i'd appreciate the advice also.

I just place the ball exactly as I would if I was playing a long iron.

If I want to hit a lower shot just place the ball as If it was a 5 wood.

The onlt thing I have had a problem with is the swing but found that by swinging slightly flatter with a slightly wider stance the problem was resolved.
