Came across this in a friendly game few weeks ago and been meaning to post.

Ball hit into the green but the green as a nice slope in middle separating the top and bottom tier.

My question is this, if the pin is on the bottom tier and your ball is sitting in the slope once you repair your plug and replace the ball and the ball rolls down the slope what happens?

I assume you can't press the ball into the green to get it to sit. And you need to be jack flash to move your marker before the balls moves.

We ended up pressing it into the green a little to stop it rolling. Likely not the correct rt think to do but was a friendly match between mates. But might have been a different story if in a comp. Be interested in knowing the correct ruling for the future.

thanks in advance'

You certainly can't press it into the ground ;)

You must find the nearest place not nearer the hole where the ball will remain at rest.
