Now that I have slung most of rusty, cheapo guff clubs i picked up last year and now have some respectable sticks in the the bag that I can actually hit... the bag just ain't worthy. As my irons are Callaway, but my two favorite clubs are Pings, what bag you reckon I should get? I'm proud of the research I done before I got the clubs that work for me, but I'm not necessarily a walking advertisement for either brand. I saw a Nike one yesterday that I like, but have no Nike clubs. Is this a no no? Any particular basis for getting a bag, like what will be in it, or just go with what you like and forget the label?

Forget the label. I had a Nike bag with no Nike clubs and a Titleist one with no Titleist clubs before that. I now have a Titleist bag dull of Titleist clubs, but a mizzy umbrella. The most important thing is finding a bag you like. Having said that, the two Titleist bags I've had have been the best I have owned. If I didn't have Titleist clubs, I would still use their bags

If your really that worried go for a brand that doesn't make clubs at all, ogio and sun mountain?

I used to be someone that matched, but realised this wasn't the best for my game or wallet

I'm not sure that anyone at a golf either assumes or cares what clubs or bag combination you have. It's about you and how you play and interact.

Just pick the bag you like the best, for me it was a Nike carry bag even though I have no Nike clubs.

You could look at as I have a Powercaddy trolley bag too but don't have any Powercaddy clubs (joking) that sits nicely on my Motocaddy trolley.

Pick on comfort and style, then maybe go for colour and name.

I love the Powakaddy bag,its great for the trolley and it keeps its shape very well, but I Purchased a Mizuno scratch bag on holiday last year and its been brilliant, half a set and a few balls and away you go,I think it only cost 36 quid.

Another vote for whatever bag you like the look of.

I have a Sun Mountain but don't have any of their clubs!

My wife would like the corner of our lounge back so I also have a Nike one for sale ;)

I've now no Titleist clubs, yet I'm keen on the Titleist SX6 carry bag, basically because Titleist means 'golf' to me as it's all I used as a kid growing up

I remember playing years ago with a very good scratch player who had the scruffiest bag you could imagine, when I queried this with him he responded by saying the clubs could go in a tesco carrier bag as far as he was concerned, the bag didnt contribute to his score his clubs did. Ergo it really doesnt matter whats on the bag.

Would that be the 'Scratch Sac'
