Currently I have 13 clubs in the bag
Driver 3wood 20 deg hybrid, 4-pw 54(bent to 53) and 58 and putter.
So I have room for 1 more, but I'm not sure I actually need it.
My gaps are covered through the bag so surely that's what counts.
Anyone else find this?
My only thought is to possibly get say a 24 deg hybrid that goes around 195-200 but flies high as might give me another option.

Anyone have any pros or cons or constructive advice?

this really is a dilemma:o

Leave it alone is my advice as you even said you're not sure if you need it. If you're not sure then ya don't

I got myself a Mizuno HiFl for that exact thing - works like a dream

I've a very similar set up to you except I have a 5 wood in place of 3 wood. And a 52 deg instead of the 54(53)

So I'm carrying 13 as well and happy with it, don't see need for any other club. I'm planning on adding a 24 degree rescue like you but removing the 4 iron permanently from the bag

I have a space in my bag aswell and I'm unsure whether or not to add a 3 wood... I've never hit a wood in my life so would possibly be a whole new learning curve

I'd be considering a 5 wood. As per my signature I have a driver 3, and 5W and a 3H. The 5W is 18 degrees and the hybrid is 20. We have several par threes over 200 yards and a couple around the 180 mark and depending on the wind the 5W or 3H will be the optimum club. Just gives me a different option as my bottom end with the wedges I'm happy with

far prefer your dilemma to mine, having added a Driver and 3 wood again Im back to having 15 clubs and having to leave one out. Over winter it will be the 3 iron, summer time not such an easy choice

I have a similar set up with only 13 clubs

Driver
4 wood
3-P
52°
58°
Putter

I messed around for ages with additional clubs between 4 wood and irons, then just decided to leave it and stick with what I know.

I have a 4 iron and the hybrid equivalent, playing Weston-super-mare open in the morning and not sure which to use. I guess the hybrid as it's a much more reliable club, even if it goes higher

Unless you have a problem with particular Par 3s then you have no need to change.

If you put a 4H in, I'm almost certain that, like me, you'll drop the 4i pretty quickly.
