Just watched last night's Baftas on catch-up TV and was a bit puzzled why the BBC didn't include Alan Rickman or David Bowie on this year's death list. There are probably plenty of others who didn't get a mention but these two immediately sprang to mind. Just wondering what criteria they use, any ideas?

Are the BAFTAs run on a calendar year basis so this would have been for 2015 and would have listed people that died 1st Jan 15 to 31st Dec 15? In that case Rickman and Bowie would appear in next year's list. Possibly.

Not sure that's right as Victoria Wood, Ronnie Corbett and Paul Daniels were all mentioned. I would suggest Bowie is still recognised for his music and not acting and that Rickman was seen more as a film actor

……… a BAFTFA spokesperson who explained the actor was recognised during February's Film Awards.
In addition, their website reads: “Due to the number of people we would like to recognise at any one time and the limited time in which we have to do so, individuals may be featured in a television broadcast only once.”
