Bad luck

Started playing about 18 months ago, joined a club and started playing in a few competitions, to my suprise my son and I actually got into the doubles final. It was due to have been played 2 weeks ago but the other couple had a holiday booked up.

After 5 holes we were all square after being 2 up, coming from the 5th tee I fell in a rabbit hole and tore all the ligaments in my thumb and had to concede the game

Ouch. Not good - hope you are ok soon. Look on the bright side you know you are good enough to get back to the final next year. Take heart that the season is nearly over and make sure you give it time to heal

Just an update, went to the hospital on Monday, had an op to pin and wire the thumb on Wednesday now out of action for 2-3 months
