We play about30 different Clubs annually and invariably have bacon and coffee on arrival.

Played today and the coffee was lukewarm and the bacon had been standing for about 1 hour and was cold. The cost was £5 for both which I thought was expensive.

What is the price at your place and what should we expect to pay? Realise it depends on the area where you live

Tend to get mine as part of society days so the cost has already been paid. Most have been pretty decent and most are geared for dealing with societies so service is efficient and the food and drink warm and tasty

£5 not terrible if its proper filter coffee, or an americano and a decent roll

Pretty poor if its rubbish coffe and cold though

£2 for a bacon roll and £1 for a coffee at my club.

Was at Slaley Hall recently and had to take out a mortgage for a bacon roll and a coffee. It was just under £10 if I remember right :o

Must have been a Prize Pig. That's beyond a joke for a bite to eat and a cuppa. Was it any good ?

It is called a roll not a bap, You never hear she's got nice roll's !

£1.80 for a bacon roll at my bit and about the same for an Earl Grey.

bap noun - definition, audio pronunciation, synonyms and more for bap noun: a round, soft form of bread that is usually smaller than a loaf

Depends where you are from old chap!

Hot roll and coffee at mine is about £3, most expensive I've had was at gleneagles which was about £30 for 4 hot rolls, 3 teas and a coffee.

£2.50 for a bacon roll but you do get half a pig in it and £1.25 for a filter coffee.
Not bad and enough to keep you going through at least 9 holes.

Oh great, I'm playing slaley hall in a months time better make sure I've got plenty of cash on me then!
What was the course like?

Our price is about £4 for the both

That is one thing that I do not like about my club, the kitchens do not open until ten so rarely have a bacon roll and coffee has to come from the machine. If I am in the clubhouse after the kitchen opens then it is about four quid for filter coffee and a bacon roll.

My last club didn't have the kitchen open until 12 and not at all on Mondays/ Tuesdays during the winter, just the vending machine.

My current club is based at a hotel so no problems there. Fortunately we don't pay the hotel guest prices, a quid for a decent pot of coffee and probably not much more for a roll. 15% discount for us off all other food and drink too.

80p for a tea or coffee at my place. Unfortunately no bacon on offer, but a cheese and onion sandwich is about £1.75 - good value.

They'll cook you up a slack handful of chips and a burger and deliver it to you on the course if you're that way inclined, I know a fair few who take advantage of that.
