And just as things were starting to dry up, firm up and unsquelch we go and get 5 hours of heavy, heavy rain and hail to put things right back where they were 10 days ago...
I've been driving along rivers for the past hour.....
I'm guessing the 2 holes that were closed at my place will be again now - so bang goes the Comp on Thursday.......

Played 18 in partial sunshine and short sleeves today. Bit drizzly now, but planning another 18 on Thursday.

Not really helping am I?

Played 4 holes before calling it a day - wet and VERY cold...flipping hands were numb - until I got in the clubhouse when they were suddenly on fire!! Managed to walk Max in a gap in the rain and then washed my car and had to rinse it in torrential rain - shouldn't have bothered really. I so wish I didn't keep looking at weather forecasts and then saying "they didn't forecast this" :blah:

Not really, no....

Especially as all we were forecast was a couple of light showers.......
where's the 'gun to the head" smilie when you need it.....

Longer term forecast starting to look a little better after the next few days, hopefully we're getting close to the end of it. On the plus side they managed to hand cut all 18 greens yesterday so they should be a bit better for a little while.

Clutching at straws probably tho lol

Thats great news!

Our comp on Saturday is starting to look vulnerable. We're still fully open today but back to carry only and the forecast tonight and tomorrow is for rain, rain and more rain.

It's horrible. This weather will never give in. I've heard on the radio that, although the spring will be warmer than normal, it will be wetter too...

I heard on the radio this time last year that we were in for another wet summer, don't believe everything you hear about the weather (or golf rules :D)

The forecasters are saying be prepared for snow overnight, I'll believe it when I see it. It may well snow but it will only be a high levels, but just when you thought the weather was picking up, it turns around gives you the finger then kicks you square in the plums.

Glorious here at the moment, but did drop a load of water last night... Might nip up to the club and see if I can get my second card in... Got to temper that 7 over that I handed in on Tuesday....:D

Hope the overnight downpour has cleared, it doesn't matter best card counts? :D

Didn't hand the card in in the end. Only played 11 holes then work rang and I had to come home... That first card looks like a season wrecker for me.. I rang my usual PP and told him and he hasn't stopped laughing yet.. I get random text messages from him that are just him laughing... Painful..;)

If that first one has gone in you may as well NR the other two mate and get your new shiny 6 handicap :whoo:

When I went for my 1st handicap I shot an out of character 9 over par on one of the cards and was therefore allocated a 9 handicap. I went up to 12.6 before my 1st cut.
