typical of the wonderful game of golf,10 under on tuesday,6 under yesterday and medal day today i was 1 over par,in my defense the winning score was a 66 by a 25 handicapper,a 70,71,a few par 72's and me on my own back in 9th with a 73,we had one division with about 60 entrants.conditions werent great cold, windy and wet,we were also waiting alot to play the holes as we were a 2 ball following loads of 3 balls, excuses over and i'm gutted not to have come in under par the way i've been playing. i hit the irons aswell as i've hit them in the last year, average off the tee and missed a few daft putts, never parred any par 3's,a card full of 5's and only 2 pars.cant wait til next time on the course to put it right! i can hear a few 'i told you sos',the way i've been playing over the last 2 or 3 months has had fellow members at my club watching my 'progress',with the odd few comments,i was dreading going in the clubhouse but was relieved to see that it was a fairly respectable score in the conditions and some more seasoned golfers were posting 76,78 and even 80's.first medal of the year out of the way, bring on the next one!

thats the beauty of our game m8! you dont get cut in the bounce games....put that card in your pocket, and it then becomes mind games! however as you say, still a respectable score, and you would have made buffers!Keep plugging away!

I had what on paper was a nightmare 25 points today but I struck the ball really well apart from one drive OB at 18. My new address, turn and tempo were working great and I was striking the ball as solid as I had in months. Kept missing greens though and my chipping was a joke.

HTL was hacked off though. He only had 12 points going out but must have blitzed the back as he came home in 23 so he might get close to a top 3. Hope he keeps it up as we're in the 4ball better ball on the 21st and he needs to carry me!
