Hi folks, is there anyone on at the mo from Ayrshire???

Am supossed to be travelling up with a group this weekednd to play and stay at Turnberry.

It's snowing here at the moment  and wondered how its looking up that way????

Hi Taggart, I'm about 30 miles from Turnberry and we've no snow. Really heavy frosts the past few days and the ground is like iron, it will probably be a bit better on the coast.

I think the forecast for the end of the week isn't great, rain, sleet and some snow forecast. :(

I really hope you strike it lucky with the weather as Turnberry's a smashing place.

Snow forecast for Wed, Thur & Friday in this area.

Fingers and toes crossed it comes to nothing.

Forecast tonight is for a severe blooter of snow all across west coast.

If forecast is correct your wasting your time travelling m8.

Andy

Used to stay in Maidens (Village at Turnberry) and never saw snow until I moved away, so good chance it may be clear!!!!!!!

Now stay in East Kilbride and never saw sunshine since I left Maidens

doesnt matter what the weather is like, you will still enjoy it. if you try uk weather .com put turnberry postcode in and look at forecast. weather is recorded from prestwick just up the road. it gives you 10 day forecast. also try turnberry webcam. ive played turnberry loads in all types of weather, always finishing with a smile knowing ive just played one of the best courses in the world. :)

Fingers crossed there is no frost or snow here (yet) so hopefully tomorrows trip to play Millport will be a goer. Desperate to play some golf.

Ach all doom and gloom you!

Salty sea air will keep the snow at bay long enough to get a quick 18 holes in!!!

We stayed in with the central heating on. It was snow free however it was 20-25mph winds with rain. Too cold for my fairy soft hands.
