This should be an easy question for those who have a good grasp of all things handicap.

Here's my card from my first ever open at the weekend:

Screen%20Shot%202016-06-06%20at%2014.28.33_zpswt5co47h.png

As you can see:

-I managed to blob 8th and 9th.
-Playing off 13.0
-Par 68
-CSS 72 (Although the CSS for home players was 70?!)
-Gross 83

Any adjustments required?

Your worst score was a net double bogey so no need to adjust your total score. You shot 2 under visitors CSS so you should self cut 2 x 0.3 shots so 0.6 shots off your exact handicap. If that takes you down below 12.5 then your playing handicap becomes 12.

Edit: if the first 0.3 takes you below 12.5 then you should only cut yourself 0.5 not 0.6 (1 shot at 0.3 for cat 3 then 1 shot at 0.2 for cat 2)

:eek::mad::confused:

Thanks mate. 5th best score out the visitors, which I'm chuffed with. But, calling myself a Cat 2 golfer is a bit embarrassing, given my game lol.

You've come to the right place to get my expert opinion.

When you cross the border and eventually reach Forest Pines, my judgement is that you should be off no more than 8 as you obviously travel well.
