Auto Electricians /techys.

Don't know about Audi but Ford wanted over £1,500 to retro fit the inbuilt satnav to Mrs. BiM's Fiesta, and if I remember correctly Subaru wanted about £2,500 to retro fit my Legacy. Neither of them got it.

The issue will be how much of the dash they have to pull out or change in order to do the satnav, the reversing camera should be less of a problem.

It may have to be after market. Not all cars have the right looms to accommodate upgrade tech. It seems like a crying shame to throw a aftermarket kit into such a new car.

Interesting. BMW bikes have apparently been running a single loom for years; buy a BMW electrical accessory and when you look there's a connector to plug it into. The parts bloke I spoke to reckoned that the extra cost of building on the plugs & wiring was more than outweighed by only having to make 1 loom per engine rather than per model. If it worked for them then, I'd be surprised if the car boys haven't caught up with it.

See if there are any breaking/salvage on Ebay, keep checking as one might come up.

I needed a air intake manifold for my Passat (£600 new) picked one up of an Octavia which is 100% the same part for £130.

Bonus was from the date code on the part it was only 18mths old and was the latest revision.

Audi/VW tech mate charged £30 to fit.

Result.

It's total luck I'm afraid, the loom might be okay or it may not. You wouldn't be able to tell until you went in to find the connection.
