Not played anywhere near my handicap for a month (14), step up today in an optional medal and just striking the ball so well did not hit a single duff all day, get to the turn in 42 (+7) (Back 9 is a LOT easier).... par 3 12th.... OOB all the way down the right, solid 6 iron......... First one starts right at it, just drifts right right right OOB............ 2nd one exact same and comes to rest against a fence post..... End up taking an 8........ Par 3 16th.... Cream another 6 iron and similiar story, rip it right on line and it tails off right out the park...... peg in another move the ball back in my stance a bit and cream one..... takes one skip lips out the hole and sits 6 feet.......

Ended up with a Net 71 and 37 points :o would of won the medal and the stableford sweep if it wasnt for those 3 shots :/ as it turned out I halfed the sweep in joint 1st !

Probably the closest I have been in a long time to a really good round </rant>

Must be the clubs buddy, get yourself some Pings!

Edited to add: Gimmee a shout if you're missing Playsport and come and have a knock with me.

Feel your pain, mate.

I've had two really good rounds going the last 2 days, only for them both to fall apart over the last 3 holes, where I dropped a total of 15 shots. Just had the comp results in - I finished joint 2nd, 2 shots back. If I'd shot 1 less each day, I'd have tied for the win and been cut to single figures into the bargain.

Pain in the bum.

Not played to my handicap all year. I feel it is so close but just having a couple of holes that crucifies the scorecard. It is in there. Glass half full, glass half full, glass half full. Keep thinking it Homer

Played to or better than min 5 times out of 30 rounds this year, so slightly ahead of expectation.

Birdie count 36 so that's ahead of expectation too. :D
