No more shall we see Mr Palmer hitting the first shot at The Masters..
He's called it a day.

So, will they continue with just Jack and Gary or will someone else get started in..?

Suggestions...?

Was reading a good piece on the BBC site and it was saying that Armie is the fifth highest earning golfer more or less each year.

Not wanting to sound disrespectful, but I'm kid of happy to see him call it a day.
It's looked too much for him the past few years.

I know he's no Spring Chicken but I'm really surprised he's not even going to hit the ceremonial first drive, bearing in mind he played in the Par 3 event last year.

However there is probably something that's stopping him being able to give it a go and I for one would just like to raise a glass and say "Thanks for the memories old boy and well done!"

Replacement? Trevino.

Not sure he did play last year. Damaged a shoulder in 2014 and it's still a problem I believe.

Lots of stores all over Asia - has some sort of drink as well as lots of other endorsements

Plus he had 5 p off me in about 1974, I played his par three crazy golf course, Skegness I think. When you played the last hole if you got a hole in one going up a great big ramp you got a free game. If not the ball would roll into one of four other holes never to be seen again. Out of the six in my family I got a hole in one. Parents said were not hanging around for an hour whilst you play on your own.
i was gutted.

Never won the Masters so wouldnt be able to fulfil the role.

I met him while working room service at the Old Course Hotel during the 1995 Open. Me and one of the girls did all his service for the week and at the end he gave us both a signed programme and a $100 dollar tip. He was one of the few that would always say please and thank you even to the lowly room service staff. An absolute gentleman.
