May I just take this opportunity to wish all all forum members who are:

Widows/ Widowers

all the very best on this Armed Forces day

forever brothers/ sisters

Popped along this afternoon to the forces day event on in my home town, bumped in to some guys I used to serve with that are still active which was nice. But even nicer to see how many people turned out to pay respect and celebrate the day for those that are doing a great job.

Well said that man:thup:
Raised a few glasses this afternoon to all those who have and are still serving.

On my way to Belton Park this morning the Red Arrows flew over me whilst at the junction of the A46 & A52, they were escorting a and flanking a very large jet, just as they flew over, they let their smoke out in colours, a bit later a Lancaster flew over whlst I was warming up.

I salute all my comrades past & present and I drink and hold my glass up to absent friends.

My first Armed Forces day out of service.
Had a few beers for all the lads still in doing their bit.

Not a lot of activities down in the home of the Navy though. Doesnt seem to get much advertisement.
