playable all year round? and if so ,, do you play regulary on the course the whole year? Our normal season is from late April until beginning of october,
Yes, we only shut for snow. Brighton and Hove is on high ground and drains very well. Last year we were in great condition when other local courses were closed. Only one matt and not one temp green.
Ours is usually, last winter the back nine was closed a fair bit due to flooding but the volume of rain was exceptional. Unless it's frozen we play the full course all year and I play as much as possible. There are fewer comps during the winter though
My home courses Monifieth Medal and Ashludie are generally open all year round - will miss the odd day for snow but it doesn't tend to hang around for long by the coast
No temp tee boxes and only on temp greens for frosts. Usually only closed for snow although the unprecedented rain last year led to the back nine and then just a few holes shut as they were flooded. Nothing you can do about that and they worked hard to keep as many holes playable as possible
Open all year. South facing hillside location which is brilliant for drainage and drying out. Very rare for temporary greens to come into use. Snow will sometimes close the course but usually for just a few days. http://www.golf-bigorre.fr
our course is closed from mid december to mid february unless whether is exceptionally warm. usually winter break lasts longer because snow and frost not all that uncommon in austria. last year i played my last round (7 holes then it began to snow) on december 9th and my first round on april 6th
My course is open all year round, however snow and continuos rain will close it.
It has been known to be under 3 ft of water.
The condition of the course at the moment is diabolical.
