Just got to canarys. In a nice Riu. But its full of old folk. Rammed wi blue rinses. Currently listening to La cucaracha.
Nah me an missis T will both be 54 tomorrow (she already is). Moon rivers just cracked up. God help me. Anyway am
off into town tomorrow to find something young. Just seen were the defib is an am sure that will be used this week. Lordy lordy. Green green grass of home is on now. Its like being in hotel Cocoon.
Anyone else younger or older than they really are.
Soddin eck missis T is singing its now or never, gonna be a long week. On a positive ave only got 23 hrs of it tomorrow.

Definitely, retiring at 52 was the best thing I ever did, get younger everyday

65 in a couple of weeks and I still go gigging, I don't think I am old but the numbers don't lie, I just think the outlook for older people these days is so much different than for our parents.

People say it's long past time I grew up. At work I'm Mr Serious, but outside of work I'm the fool. I'm happy with the balance but HID gets a bit tetchy with it at times.

Went to see The Stranglers and The Ruts last week, lots of 60 year old punks there jumping about mental!

I packed in work 2 years ago at 54, best thing I ever did. Am never in the house, either out golfing, playing snooker, dog walking or a few beers with mates. And the occasional gig or sporting event. Wish I had packed in 20 years ago :D

Hit 50 last year but definitely feel younger in my head at least. Not sure the body agrees and days when that feels 65. I can just see Tashy heading into town, short unbuttoned to the navel, medallion shining, ready to strut his stuff in some nightclub somewhere

Now we are talking Homer and that is what am doin in 5 mins.

Definitely. Best lesson my dad thought me was to collect experiences not things. Live modestly but go to gigs and festivals, travel when i can and see the world. life is for living.

Yer dad was a wise old 🦉 👍

46 going on 12!! THe two rugrats keep me young but my rugby/cricket/football knees remind me frequently that there is some significant wear and tear going on. "it's about stories not glories"

If it means having to wear crocs to show I am 'young at heart' ;)...

I will quite happily remain old and crotchety ...

just found another pair on the wall near us. "Spares", i told missis T. She gave me the Medusa stare. 😳

58 in May and have more energy than my 34 year old wife. Still go to the 70 and 80's music concerts. Seeing John Cooper Clarke in a few weeks and last concert was Big Country a couple of months back. Life is not a rehearsal. When I feel my age I'll probably be ready to checkout.

Definitely still enjoy a lot of the stuff I did 30 years ago, especially concerts, not always well known bands but going to small venues and seeing an up and coming outfit. Don't drink as much (just as well) and the body isn't in A1 condition but you have to seize the moment. Carpe Diem
