I think golfers as individuals are actually rarely the cause of slow play. Of course you get a few that don't help with not being ready to go when it's their turn, overly long pre shot routines, or slow stolls between shots, or constantly looking for their ball as they hook another into the long stuff. The problem isn't these things individually more to do with clubs cramming people on the course in 6 or 8 minute gaps and then any of these issues occurring causing a concertina affect, similar to what happens on a congested motorway when cars are too close together.

I do honestly think it's not me. But one of my playing partners does like to 'walk the green' looking at the put from many angles rather too much for my liking. And if I was stuck behind him I could see how it would be very frustrating as often I think, oh just get on with it, it's a bounce game and you are putting for a bogie from 25 feet.

But that's none of us forumers..... right?

Not me guv, I play too quickly for my own good at times. One of the factors behind me moving on from my old club was slow play, more ignnorance to be fair.It was a regular occurance on a Saturday morning to see early groups of 4 balls not let 2 balls through even though there was a clear hole/holes in front. The "we've been hear 40 years and play this time every week why should we" brigade.

I lose balls, yes, but I try not to slow down the game unnecessarily - play a prov', let others through if needs be.
I don't have an extensive PSR, I don't mess around when it's my turn to play, and I don't walk every angle of my putts only once it's my turn to putt.
I do walk quickly, get ready to play when it's my turn and encourage my playing partners to do the same (not always easy).

So no, I don't think I'm the cause of slow play.

I don't have a long PSR, usually only look at putts from behind my ball, and try to get a yardage and figure my club/shot before it's my turn to play, but who knows?

I seem to end up in a lot of slow groups so maybe it's more than coincidence and I'm the culprit?

Main offenders:
1) using a driver despite consistently being unable to hit the fairway with it
2) not being ready when it's your turn
3) leaving your bag at the front of the green
4) taking an age to line up your putt with a marker (and still missing)
The more experienced club members don't do the above.

Im pretty sure at one stage we have all been guilty of slow play - losing a ball , holding up a group , taking a bit too long over a shot for example

Myself I know at times I have been in a group that has been guilty of slow play and tried my best to get them to move

Not calling faster groups through means you are the cause of slow play.

All experienced club members hit the fairways every time?

I've played with "more experienced club members" who are slower than me

One occasional playing partner plays off 20, yet gets to his ball, looks at his yardage watch thingy, asks for confirmation yardage, puts on his glove, selects his club, two or three practice swings, then hits a scabber and dawdles after it as he take his glove off to repeat closer to the hole.
When two of my other mates play together, it's like two gossiping neighbours over the fence. You have to keep asking them to play their shot as they are so engrossed in conversation.
When playing with either of the above scenarios, yes, I am partially responsible for slow play :o
Luckily, it is not that often.

Don't believe so as I play too quickly. Only time I properly take my time is with my putting - when even over the shortest 18" or closer 'not quite tap in' putts I will go through my full putting routine. It isn't that complicated and in truth takes moments - but I could be quicker - and would miss more shorties through carelessness.

I would imagine I probably am at times. However I would categorically refute any accusation that's the fault of Aimpoint. Sometimes I just don't play a hole that well and it takes time for me to get the pesky ball in the hole. Simple as that really and as long as my group isn't losing position or holding others up then I'm happy.
